Pastor Worship

Now that he no longer has his Pastorman mask to make it obvious to everyone that he is superhuman, Pastor Moses thought it would be a good idea to remind the church that he still is an awe-inspiring, God-like person. Knowing it would come across as self-promoting if he simply said it himself, he got Eric, one of his faithful armor-bearers, to testify about his greatness instead – and the crowd loved it… John however, doesn’t seems to be so happy about how the whole church is putting Pastor Moses on such a high pedestal – isn’t that place meant for Jesus?

Ruining The Master Plan

Pastorman, the all powerful alter-ego of Pastor Moses, has met his match! And it wasn’t at the hands of his arch enemy Captain Backslider either. And, just as Pastor Moses almost fell apart with concern that the whole master plan was forever ruined, the promise of a warm meal brought everything back into a clear perspective. Life would carry on, and besides, he was, after all, still the greatest senior pastor on the planet… Oh yeah.

Wearing Masks

…It seems that although Pastor Moses started out being the one who wore the mask, over time the mask has become the one wearing Pastor Moses. It amazes Luke that Pastor Moses still genuinely thinks he’s being honest to himself and others… and of course he’s feeling fantastic throughout it all, after all, life always has to be fantastic when you are Pastorman, right? He’s got a super hero reputation to uphold!

Not Playing The Game

Pastor Moses is so deep in his own fanciful game of being a super hero that it seems to have come as quite a shock to realise some people, like Luke, simply aren’t playing along.

Pastorman’s Nemesis

Pastor Moses seemed to figure out he can’t be a super hero without also having a nemesis, some arch-enemy to keep people safe from – safe from what exactly, only Pastorman truly knows

Selective Disclosure

Pastor Moses likes to use examples from his own life to encourage his church members, especially when it comes to money, but he’s not so keen to share everything with them, just the stuff that makes him look awesome.

Egomaniac

Pastor Moses really seems to have really bought into the whole super hero image he created with Pastorman, but it doesn’t look like his wife Sue is on the same wave length; in fact maybe she’s the only one who has the guts to tell him exactly what he’s turning into?

Go Sue go!

Creating A Super Hero Image

Pastor Moses seems to think that setting himself up as a super hero like figure is something that will ultimately help achieve his vision of church growth; he really believes orchestrating his super hero image is a selfless act for the benefit of others. John isn’t buying his logic…

The Super Hero Anointing

Eric holds his pastor up high; he has no hesitation in calling him the Lord’s anointed. John agrees, but only in as much as he is also anointed, as is Eric, and everyone who is in Jesus.

Eric agrees, in theory at least, but still feels compelled to explain that his pastor is extra anointed – super hero anointed even! He’s even known to be able to explode people… not that anyone (including Pastor Moses) has ever actually witnessed these strange, powerful abilities, but hey, there are plenty of stories floating around about it, so they must be true, right?

The Perfect Match

Who is Liz’s perfect match? John isn’t sure if anyone could ever fit her expectations; Pastor Moses seems to be more optimistic… errr, kind of.
