Er,... I'd rather not.. haha.. Since this is not a debate forum, its better we just agree to disagree and chill... C'mon man, its a comic that exaggerates stereotypes.. Take it with a pinch of salt eh? I have to admit I was kinda annoyed by some of the stereotypes since they were so outrageous, yet believe- able enough to convince pre believers/new believers of some facets of Christianity.
Another reason why I would not go into a lengthy discussion is that I may inadvertently misrepresent others with my posts.. Has happened before, and I would love to avoid it ever happening again..

Shalom to you, Amen! =)

Joshen, first and foremost, I believe Christianity is made to work.I believe that dysfunctional Christianity is an insult to the finished work of Christ on the cross There is a cr.y for change in my heart about the way we do Christianity and I can hear this same cry in every one of Mick's comics.
An armour bearer so the pastor has time to pray? Give me a massive pentecostal brake!
It is time to rise above our Sunday morning pompous statements that have no relevance on the street.
Because of the disconnect between what we say we believe and how we live, the church is where it is at. It is time that we look at the things that are going wrong, it is time that we admit they are wrong and it is time for a new strategy. God has placed His presence inside of all of us Christians so we can solve this massive problem that the church worldwide is facing today. Let's start a conversation about what is inside of each one of us and give it some expression, like Mick is doing with his comics....

Joshen, it sounds like you understand the whole reason for Steven's appointment (with the other six "deacons") in Acts 6. Seems like even the early church recognized the need to delegate daily tasks so that the leaders could devote themselves to "the ministry of the Word and prayer". Steven wasn't a person to "look down upon" -- on the contrary, he was chosen to "just wait tables" (the way we look at it today) specifically because he was "of good reputation, filled with the Holy Spirit and wisdom".

Oh, that we would all be so blessed as to be chosen on those requisites to "just wait tables" -- we never know what the Lord can accomplish through us as we serve Him in such capacities! After all, if there wasn't a Steven, there might never have been a Paul. Think about it.

Actually, Eric has caught on to something powerful... if only the one whose armor he's bearing isnt such a prat.. haha..

Being an armor bearer means taking care of things so that the leader doesnt have to. If the preaching pastor is busy running here and there, taking care of every matter then where will he get the time to study God's Word? Thats why we appoint different departments(logistics/sound/video) and leaders to handle the day to day running of the church. If it involves cleaning toilets, so be it. But as they usually have janitors for that and the pastor just wants to be a scrooge and not hire some then we have a problem...

Mick, I totally agreed with you for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and against powers of darkness. There is no compromise in the gospel of Grace. "Jesus + anything = nothing"

Mel, For more than two thousand years, how many are called? how many have known the true Grace of God? Praise God for someone like Mick to stand up and speak the truth and not go with the fallen. It is stated clearly that who attempt to be justified by the law; has fallen from grace (Gal 5:4) and Christ has become of no effect to him. Therefore Rom 8:30 is for those who truly believe in the finished work of Christ shall reign in life for His glory. Ask and open your heart to Him and you'll see Grace. You'll thankful to us who bring the grace message to you. When you get it , you'll be the one who preach louder than us. Amen.

Hi Mel, I'm not trying to embarass or bring down God's people, i'm sorry if you read into my comic the wrong way. The characters are not real, nor based on any real people, but more just stereotypes that Christians from all over the world may know of and find humourous. Humour is a funny thing (no pun intended) sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't quiet hit the mark.

Original comment from Mel: embarassing and bringing down God’s pple(you, me, pastors everyone) is a shame and sin that we ought to repent of. Romans8:30- Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
