Introducing a new character, Luke the ‘church leaver’
Geez Pastor Moses, it’s ok if you forget someones name after the first time you meet them, but after seeing them every week for the past seven years….errr, Awkward!
[...] to think that the reason Pastor Moses never lived up the expectation and responsibility of being a caring, loving and personally involved pastor, is because it was actually never his Job. Luke has come to realise that Jesus truly is his pastor, [...]
Joshua's description of a pastor's friend sounds just like what I was like – except for the rich businessman part and cleaning the toilets.
@Joshua – it’s exactly like you say… crazy… it’s just crazy… how can a message that is so beautiful, become so degenerated… But he said it, Christ said it would be like that…
funny one – of course even if the pastor did know the dudes name friendship seldomly ever happens between pastor and congregation member – unless of course you are a really rich business man hahaha or served tirelessly starting with cleaning toilets, endorsed everything the pastor has preached with loud amens while sitting near the front and been known to give tithes, offerings, love offerings, building fund offerings, seed time and harvest offerings, just in case I haven’t given enough offerings offerings – been to all the mid week prayer meetings (first there and last to leave) whew and the list goes on
I think it will be easier for me to become a rich businessman LOL
crazy.
That's never happened to me before, but I guess I've never really been a part of churches with thousands of members…
This is sadly the situation in many “traditional” churches, even today. A preacher or minister is appointed to that specific church and if a better “position” comes up at another church somewhere he will apply for that position and leave his flock at the old church behind.
In this context the true shepherd heart of the minister simply does not exist, they only see it as a job.

While its sad, it is so true.
nice.
Ahahaha!!!
Poor thing!
hahahah Jason your comment made me laugh so hard!!!
Yannick, right on, man: "when friendship is not based on being in Christ but the label/institution you belong to, the whole madness of institutionalism is made apparent. it destroys the ability to have real relationships and real love in the body of Christ." Can't be said any better!
Please come to your senses Luke, you are not a sheep now, you are just a goat to your Pastor.
Funny, man! haha!
this is soo familiar! of course, I can understand that Pastor Moses cannot humanly know everybody – but this shows how the whole institutional thing is wrong in itself. It creates needs that cannot be met.
when friendship is not based on being in Christ but the label/institution you belong to, the whole madness of institutionalism is made apparent. it destroys the ability to have real relationships and real love in the body of Christ.
The nameless teen looks like he is going through that awkward growth stage. You know when the face does not quite fit the body yet…That is probably what has stomped Pastor Moses, poor guy.
Ha… No church no friend! No tithe how friend?
How sad that it's often so true!
WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaa!!!! So true!!!! tsk tsk… . Hahahhaha! Well, I guess I'm not the only one who saw that in the churches today.
