Dodgy Theology

In Pastor Moses’ books, it’s not what you say, but how you say it that counts. It doesn’t seem to matter what theology Pastor Moses believes… what is important is that he communicates it in such a way that it sounds amazing… just don’t think about it too much.

John just wants an honest answer: What did Jesus mean when he said the Father desires us to worship him in spirit and in truth?

I worship God all the time, even when I am in the bathroom reading the paper or facebooking.
the word worship is from ‘worth-ship’ ‘to acknowledge worth’ and for me believing what He did through Jesus Christ for me is worshiping HIm cause I am acknowledging the value and worth of what He has done. Basically put, I get my sense of worth from Him not myself – for me that’s worshiping in spirit and truth. Hopefully thats not dodgy.
it is interesting to note that psychologically singing in chorus as a group puts people in a state of mind that makes them more susceptible to being manipulated (emotionally ur more likely to appease and comply than reject) which is why they probably do the tithes and offering message after about the 4-6 songs LOL.

    Yannick,

You’re right, organisation is a form of law, a set of rules and that’s what men always wanted. It is hard for men to go without because men dislike uncertainty (lack of faith). They’ll say it is better to do it this way or don’t that way. There must be order in things to do…

How often we’re been deceived back to the wrong tree… the serpent was more subtle than anyone! As long as we are not led by the Spirit… we’re already at the wrong tree.

yeah, but now this is even more challenging: nowhere in the new testament do you find people sing in an organised way… think about it… why is worship organised in the old testament but not in the new?

is it maybe because of the spirit that has been outpoured on pentecost?

is it maybe because organisation is a form of law that holds things together by principle and because people need to organise things by lack of faith that God can organise/have his way…

    think about it…

is it maybe because we lack trust (faith) that the Holy Spirit is powerful enough to hold together?

And some can come up with real crackers! It takes you a while to realise “Hey, that’s not what the bible teaches!

omg…this totally cracked me up! hahahah

Worship is more than the music that we play and sing on Sundays. Funny that Jesus said this to the Samaritan Woman and she thought about the place of “worship”…

But Jesus was talking about the kind of worship that in dwelling in HIM! As he is the TRUTH and only through HIS Spirit will we gain access to the Father.

And since JESUS is in US. We can worship HIM whenever, wherever, however!

    Halelu Yah!
