John sometimes wonders if Pastor Moses even hears what he is saying? It seems that no matter what John talks to him about, Pastor Moses automatically interprets it in a way that puts the focus back on church attendance and the supreme importance of the church service.
John just wants to enjoy the glorious reality of God’s grace without his pastor instantly switching the topic onto God’s obligations.

Most Pastors when you talk to them about certain matter they switch the topic in something else Their listing skill is really bad
Of course, since Jesus is "home" for John, that means Pastor Moses is encouraging John to leave Jesus for church.
"John just wants to enjoy the glorious reality of God’s grace without his pastor instantly switching the topic onto God’s obligations."
Amen and amen!! Isn't that the reality for all of us? When we bask in His grace and love, our hearts respond automatically with a desire to obey and please Him!! But when people start wagging fingers and trying to rain on our lovely experience of His love with man-made religious chains and shackles (or even just humanly-fabricated nagging about all the "oughts" and "shoulds", even the "legitimate" ones we might come into ourselves alone with our Lord) it just RUINS EVERYTHING. The law really DOES kill — it makes us want to flip the bird and say screw this!!! But the Spirit of God — the LOVE God pours out on us — has the OPPOSITE effect, it makes us ask, "how can I serve and honor my King today?"
what John is saying, I like it so much… what Pastor Moses is saying sounds like any other religion…
