I remember once in my previous church when they were praying that God would bring people to a fire-and-brimstone play designed to shock people to come to church (heavens gates – hell's flames).
Whilst they were praying – my friend spoke openly and said, "The Lord is telling me that He can bring the people – but then what are you going to do?"
Well, it was packed event in the church and the play seemed to have the right effect. There were many people there who gave their life to the Lord. But then the next week – hardly any of them showed-up. Needless to say, we never saw them again.
