Never Paul, money is never more important than people, but when people just become a number, then they are only competing with other numbers, such as money, and that's where the problem lies I guess.

You know, my comics seem to live in a tension between comedy and tragedy, I'm walking a tight rope I guess, but so far I feel I'm doing ok :-) I can't help but feel a little proud that you think my comics are the funniest thing on the internet :-) Thanks for your comment, feel free to comment whenever you feel like it. I've also got a Facebook page that I update regularly.

I once visited a large-ish church when the pastor was presenting his annual report. He said that over the past 12 months the number of people attending had dropped, but the amount received in offerings had gone up, "so that's a good thing." Since when did money become more important than people?

These comics are the funniest and scariest things on the web Mick. I want to relate to John, but often see my (old) self in Moses! It's horrifying.

Yeah why do modern institutional churches always come up with the positive statistics to trick believers into believing in growth and success. We should not be like the world where these things are even taught in Business Schools. No we are called to be honest maybe ask ourselves if statistics should have any place at all in churches.

And the argument that negative stats cause a spirit of defeat is not valid, as Spirit of victory comes not from trusting in the work of our hands but the work that was accomplished on the cross...
