John can’t help but think that if the gospel of God’s grace is proclaimed passionately and without mixture with the Old Covenant, the result will be salvation for the whole world!
Unfortunately Pastor Moses thinks that is a very foolish thing to believe, as none of the church growth guru’s ever mention such a thing in any of their books!
.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18

Love it…maybe even, rather than 'preach' just BE the gospel of God's grace…
This showcases the difference between "growing the church" and "growing the Church". A pastor wanting to grow his own fellowship is telling, just as a pastor who wants the universal Church to grow is telling.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTHANKS
Awesome…But the light has to come on to see it, most[myself also] think they see it but do not…When you do, it changes you forever… :O)
There’s a more generic concept underlying things like books on church growth and books on “Biblical finances”. Whevever Christians veer away from the simplicity of the Gospel message, our righteousness in Christ, they experience confusion and frustration. This then leads to people creating compelling formuals in an effort to get what they want. But as their focus and motive is wrong – it just leads to further confusion and frustration.

I personally think that fallen vom Grace does not mean that you loose your ‘born-again’ state. After-all you rely on the Grace of the cross still. But it means that your entire life is inconsistent, fruitless and you are preaching the wrong tree ‘tree of the knowledge of good and evil’. Therefore you might be a child of God but still preach the wrong covenant, the covenant that gives power to the law and therefore gives strength to sin. Sadly most Christians preach this covenant. And the devil is very happy.
GRACE is the only solution for this world.
There is no doubt there is a lot of confussion in the body of Christ today regarding the good news of God’s grace – apart from the law…and it is only by grace that the confussion will be removed and clarity will come for all believers.
I’m thankful God opened my eyes to the glory of His finished work, and with that same Spirit of love and grace, I pray he opens the eyes of all his beloved who call upon his name
man…. I’ve seen this so many times…. breaks my heart. But thank GOD that it doesn’t depend on them nor me! Thank you JESUS! and thanks Mick for the proclamation.
Wow, just when I think, 'what else could he come up with?' Preach!
Thanks Meg
That's true, and the church might not even grow in a way you think it will grow that is in a controllable visible way – but it will expand in a way that is maybe not even visible, but spreading like wildfire.
Jesus: You can't see the kingdom of God. It is among you.
Well, how can that be? Love is invisible. Or if it is visible it can be easily confused with 'works'. So it remains invisible.
When we try to draw all men to Him by our works, our performance and our excellent religious services we will always fall short… However, when Christ and his perfect finished work upon the cross is lifted up in our preaching, our spirits and our hearts then He will draw all men to Himself!
I believe in the power of the gospel!
This is so true… the natural man can not receive the things of the Spirit of God, it is foolishness to them. 1Co 2:14 Sometimes I wonder if they are still saved? You know in Eph 2:8 says for by grace we have been saved through faith but Gal 5:4 stated we become estranged from Christ if we attempt to be justified by law; we have fallen from grace. Any revelation??
Preach it Mick, for the Bible says, "From the least of them to the greatest, they will all know Me!"
