Pastor Moses and Liz, his service co-coordinator, aren’t against Jesus being an active part of their service, just so long as he sticks to the program! Liz concluded that Jesus was too much of a trouble maker, and it was better to allow him to be a passive observer (like the rest of the church), that way she could be sure the service would run according the the run sheet every time.
That really IS the problem with Jesus.. He is unpredictable! We never know what he is going to do next – and if we did we would probably make arrangements so that it didn't inconvenience us too much! And then we would miss all the excitement that comes from really trusting and following – the abundant life He promised us.
