The last conversation Pastor Moses had with Eric, he told him “While you’re doing all the annoying jobs around the church, I’m praying intensely”

Unfortunately, Eric doesn’t know that ‘Prayer’ is Pastor Moses’ code word for ‘sleep’

    Mick, many times you are striking a chord in me when I read your comics and I can't really put my finger on what makes me feel so uneasy at first. So I ponder those little comics for a while and sometimes all of a sudden I know… So it was with this one.

    The problem I see is that the armor bearer mentality is a slave mentality. It is so common in the institutional church as we know it. The armor bearer counts on Pastor Moses to pray for him, so he receives something from God. Slaves don't have an inheritance, they need to beg, or better have someone in a "higher" position who can beg for them. How sad is that?

    Don't get me wrong, though God has given us intercession as a wonderful tool, I am not talking about that.

    But the two class system in the church as you are painiting it is definetly something to talk about.

    No wonder that since the year 2000, one million people are leaving the institutional church each year. I wonder what God will do with all these people!?

    I take it there are a lot of them out there who are enjoying your comics, Mick. ;-)

    So, I would encourage you, to continue what you are doing: shine a light on some things…

    Another good one! Oh gosh, and even if Pastor Moses was praying, Eric has no obligation to serve his behind! Gosh it's such a hierarchy system that is so man- made. Glad to be outta there!
