Eric finds John very naive sometimes; doesn’t he understand that Jesus isn’t a leader in the church? That role belongs first to the senior pastors, and then to their faithful ‘number two’s; those committed to serving the ‘number one’ as he leads… John can’t help but feel Jesus is meant to be the ‘number one’, and the church should actually expect him to be the leader, right?

Danny Silk, in his book "Culture of Honor" says that "The role of the pastor is to create a church that has strong family values and systems in place …". He also says that he thinks the title "Senior" Pastor is rather strange, as leadership of the church should come from God, and His thoughts are more often received by the apostles, who spend their time listening to God, rather than caring for the congregation as pastors have to.
Fantastic…. this shows how much we thirst for community we even forget why we came in the first place… Jesus…
