Wrong Question

Of all the questions Pastor Moses could ask John to learn more about the finished work of Jesus and the revelation of God’s grace, why did he choose to ask John a question about his church attendance?

    Hi SqUiRR3L,
If the preacher is actually preaching about the reality of God’s grace at the church service then that’s fantastic, but I don’t like the odds of hearing it from Pastor Moses. The gag in this strip was not saying anything about going or not going to church, but how it’s the only thing Pastor Moses is ever thinking about. Even when John is proclaiming such glorious truth, and Pastor Moses could ask him any number of quesitons realated to the revelation of God’s grace, the reality is he’s only really interested in John’s Church attendance!

And please feel free to post whatever you want here. My comics are only a conversation starter, but the conversation can go any any number of ways. So long as comments are made with respect to others and full of grace I’m happy :-)

While I do not agree with Pastor Moses, I do kinda see a point to going to church. There are a small percentage of people who actually study the word and live by it the other 6 days a week. Being in church is the only way most people will learn about the Grace of God. I know that is not the popular opinion on this blog but it is fact that most people think because they went to church on sunday, sang a few songs. tipped jesus, and heard a sermon that they are good Christians.

These comics hit the nail on the head every time!!! keep it up Mick!!

Being in Christ is being in him no matter where you are.. be it a box or on a island or just walking the city streets… :) Yay Jesus!!!!

He didn’t do it. He is just incapable of saying Amen to truth.
Pastor Moses, John is the church… and him meeting with Christians is a local gathering. It doesn’t need your presence for that to be true. It simply needs Jesus’ presence.
