Interview with Joel Brueseke

Growing in Grace

Growing in Grace

Yesterday I interviewed Joel Brueseke, the co-host of ‘Growing in Grace’, a weekly 15 minute podcast that is full of the grace and love of God. Joel has a great heart, and a great revelation of the gospel, and it’s always fun to chat with him.

In the interview we discuss the basic truths of the Gospel of God’s grace and what factors may be making it hard for believers to fully embrace it. We also talked about the concept of ‘full time ministry’ and what God’s perspective on it might possible be.

You can also check out Joel’s websites: Grace Roots and Growing in Grace.

So, I hope you enjoy the interview:

Enjoyed the conversation! I think the hardest part for me was realizing that I needed to let go of what I believed about various topics in order to allow relationship to become the focus. And what I have found is that I actually became stronger in what I believed because I understand now who Jesus really is and what that means.

Sort of like how we might get to know each other. I can read what people post on their facebook walls and make all sorts of judgments and decide who I will “follow” and who I won’t. But if I take the time to really know and understand the person, then their posts become something completely different to me. I start to understand them from a love perspective. And that has made the complete difference for me.

Yep, the journey of grace is a great journey of letting go of our quick assumptions of people’s hearts and motives, slowing down and listening, not to correct, but offer them the chance to simply share.

So glad to hear how God is taking you on the journey of understanding his love, and shining his love through you into the lives of others at the same time.

“Relationship is the focus.” – right on.
