My name is Mick, I’m an author, cartoonist and preacher. I’m an Australian currently living in Germany with my wife Mira. What am I doing in Germany? My friend, God only knows.
Me, The Writer
I write a lot. I write articles and other creative expressions of my thoughts about life and the gospel here on my website. I also write books.
My debut book is called: ‘Look! The Finished Work Of Jesus’ available on Amazon, B&N, and most other book stores. I’ve also made it available to my website readers as a free PDF e-book. If you’d like to download it, feel free to do so here. I’ve also written a paraphrase of Paul’s 4 prison letters (Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians & Philemon) called: ‘The Gospel Cannot Be Chained’ If you want to get a feel for the style of writing, you can read the intros on my website here.

Me, The Cartoonist
I’m the creator of the comic strip: Searching For Grace. It’s a comical look at a 21st Century charismatic church, led by a church growth obsessed guy called Pastor Moses, who leads a church full of wacky volunteer obsessed church members. There is one character who really ‘gets it’ called John, who tries to help Pastor Moses and the other church members understand God’s grace. There is also another character called Luke, who, just as John joined the church, felt led to leave the institutional church setting.
I’m in the process of releasing my first comic book, very exciting stuff, and I hope that a new comic book edition will be released every 3 months. Oh, and I also share lots of new comics each week on my site.
Bragging rights: Someone once wrote to me and said they like my comic strip more than Calvin & Hobbes. Yes, that’s right. I know it was only one person, but hey, it’s still cool (even I don’t like my comic strip more than Calvin & Hobbes!)
Me, The Interviewer
I usually interview a different author, artist or other intriguing characters once a week. The main topic usually revolves around the message of God’s grace, and how it can be understood and outworked in our individual and communal lives. You can listen directly on this website. Me, The Preacher
I like preaching about the good news of God’s grace. It is the message that has captured my heart and thoughts, and I really do love sharing the message with others. Me, The Bread Winner
I don’t accept donations or any other kind of support from my readers or church/religious institutions. I do, however, try to create quality, well written books and funny, insightful comic books that you can purchase. Unfortunately I haven’t sold millions of copies (yet!) and so, I also work. The Apostle Paul made tents, I make websites. I’m also an English language coach and I do a bit of online marketing stuff too. In saying that, I’d rather be a full time author and cartoonist, so help a brother out and please buy a few thousand copies of my latest book.
