How To Fit In: ‘Never Think; Question Nothing’
Pastor Worship
Now that he no longer has his Pastorman mask to make it obvious to everyone that he is superhuman, Pastor Moses thought it would be a good idea to remind the church that he still is an awe-inspiring, God-like person. Knowing it would come across as self-promoting if he simply said it himself, he got Eric, one of his faithful armor-bearers, to testify about his greatness instead – and the crowd loved it… John however, doesn’t seems to be so happy about how the whole church is putting Pastor Moses on such a high pedestal – isn’t that place meant for Jesus?
Setting The Bar Too High?
John thought it would be a good idea to ask Liz out on a date. He wasn’t thinking about organising to marry her or thinking about the names of their future babies; it would have just been a simple dinner and a chance to chat and get to know each other a little better. Liz however didn’t really take it that way.
A ‘date’ to Liz means marriage is just a step away, and she can’t risk it, as she is waiting for Mr Perfect. Yep, some guy who is just like Jesus, with just a little bit more awesomeness, is out there somewhere
What Do You Love?
There seems to be a slippery slope away from a ‘Jesus love‘ into a ‘Pastor Moses love‘ going on. Not that there’s anything wrong with having a love for your pastor, but when the church starts finding their identity in the pastor they follow instead of the Christ they are in, well then, perhaps it’s something worth rethinking?
Church Logic

Sometimes John just can’t figure out how his pastor can have so many crazy, out of context ideas about the gospel and the outworking of the Christian life, but unfortunately Pastor Moses doesn’t even care if his ideas and theology make sense or not. It seems he has a one track mind, logic or no logic, in context or out, it doesn’t matter; what is important is the task at hand: Work like crazy to build the church.
Home
John sometimes wonders if Pastor Moses even hears what he is saying? It seems that no matter what John talks to him about, Pastor Moses automatically interprets it in a way that puts the focus back on church attendance and the supreme importance of the church service.
John just wants to enjoy the glorious reality of God’s grace without his pastor instantly switching the topic onto God’s obligations.
