Church Titles
After John managed to survive Pastor Moses’ church orientation experience, the news of a new church member has quickly circulated around the leadership team. Peggy felt it was her duty to introduce herself to John, help make him feel welcomed…and, of course, start indoctrinating him into the very important culture of church titles. According to Peggy, it doesn’t even really matter what they mean, what’s important is that you’ve got one!
Introducing Peggy, The Worship Pastor
Peggy loves to pastor people to worship, whatever that means. Even she is not really sure. But nonetheless she is passionate about her position in the church and feels it is her appointed mission to get the church members to press into God; again, she is not really sure what that means either, but it sure sounds good.
It seems that Peggy’s whole theology about worship is found in the Old Covenant. But this is all very confusing to John, the new church member, for he is sure, somewhere in the Bible, Jesus said that in the New Covenant worship would be completely different…right?
Enjoy The Journey
If you would like to take the comic strip journey with John, you can add your email below and I’ll let you know whenever a new comic is posted.

If it were me, I’d be saying John should leave the dead church already. But then there wouldn’t be much fodder for a comic now would there?
I’m loving these – yesterday’s and today’s. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s.
That’s great Lynn. I’ll be updating my website each weekday with a new comic. Happy to provide a little laugh for you each day
Got any favorite church titles?
“The Right Reverend”, I assume that means righteous reverend.
You know, I once preached at a church service and I got introduced as Reverend. Kind of funny, cause I didn’t say anything about being a Reverend! Either the pastor just couldn’t bare someone preaching to his congregation without a title, or he called me that because he forgot my name. To be honest, I think it was the latter
lol could be the latter but typically people expect someone in their pulpit to have a title, and just arent comfortable otherwise- and it changes their whole perception of you when they discover you have one. (sadly.) I dont like the whole title thing, I dont think they are necessary as a “way to respect the gift(s) in someone” like some people use as a defense.
