Excellent. Especially the definition of pasteurized…creating a modified product without radically altering the outer appearance. I’m just gonna think on that all day.
Do you have a book of your comic strips in the works? They’re the perfect, succinct, humorous zingers that just might get through to those caught up in preachianity.
Eric really can’t believe that Luke thinks he should be taken seriously as a Christian, even though he continues to say that he doesn’t need to have another man above him spiritually as his pastor. Eric even had to go as far as reveal some of his deep biblical truths that he learned from Pastor Moses on this very topic… hmmm, where exactly is that in the Bible anyway? Pasteurise: To expose milk to an unnatural, heated environment for a period of time sufficient to destroy natural microorganisms deemed, by the governing authorities, to cause undesirable results ; creating a modified product, without radically altering the outer appearance.
Hi Mick, it is sad but true. Love the definition of pastuerise. But then we are not milk, but we are fed milk until we can handle stronger food. Breast fed babies do better than bottle fed ones, they say. Better to be on the breast of the Lord Jesus drinking straight from love and grace than be fed a milk formula with foreign bodies and bits of junk in it!!
Perhaps being accepted by the mainstream church is what the enemy wants to happen? Most of the people down the ages who made a difference weren’t accepted by the mainstream. Martin Luther definitely wasn’t accepted, nor was Smith Wigglesworth, to name but two! If most of the church considers you “safe” then that’s probabaly exactly what you are. But what God requires is radical disciples who are out there, on the edge, whom the mainstream considers dangerous, even heretics!
In a moment of madness years ago we decided to take a course in a Bible College (we lasted one day!). The craziness of the requirement to have a pastor sign our admission papers was pointed out when we said we didn’t have a pastor but could get our 17 year old son who was then an assistant pastor to vouch for us!!!
haha!
Have you ever read “the common man” by GK Chesterton?
No I haven’t Tishia, what’s it about?

I love this!!!!

Preachianity is good. We call it churchianity.

That is the funniest thing I have read in a while!! Well done!
Haha. Awesome
Glad you got a laugh out of it.
