From what I know about “armor” in Galatians… I would never want to take it off and hand it to ANYONE else to “bear” for me. Since Jesus said His yoke was easy and His burden was light, it would seem that wearing my armor would fit under the category of “all things” that I can do through Christ who strengthens me.
Sometimes I wonder about depth of the relationship with God and His Word the people have who come up with these phrases and the messages / programs / books / teachings / T-Shirts / etc… that go with them… especially jumping them from the Old Testament into the Christian’s life.
You are blessed to communicate such powerful messages with a few small boxes and this cast of characters! Thanks for sharing them!!!
its not a reference to Galatians 6 “the armor of God.” its old testament (think joshua to moses, jonathan to david maybe?). one’s armor bearer was their closest personal assistant. (something like that, look it up.) =]
To put on The full Armor is to put on Christ; and He’s got my back covered as well:)
Ooopps… that’s armor in Ephesians!
Apologies, and from now on, I’ll adopt a policy of No Commenting BEFORE Coffee!
Sending this to someone who has “armor-bearers”
The BEST!!!!!!
And the scary thing here is I understood every last phrase they were saying. Weird. *L* Great panel Mick!
