The first time I actually agree with Eric! This one is complicated. Faith without works IS dead! But remember that pure faith and a resulting living relationship with Jesus, will automatically result in doing good works. It is the good works that is the fruits of our faith. That is what Jesus is about, to serve fellow humans. Of course, you only get saved by your living faith in Christ (not dead faith) alone. We should not do good works to get saved, but we should do good works because we are saved!

This is the work that we are called to ,,, that we believe!
Of course John has a Bogey man… it’s SO obvious… otherwise, his works would be clearly evident, because they would all be performed in “the House.”
(and he would probably have a nifty title to describe them to the others in “the House”… given to him by none other than……. “The Candy Man!”)
Good works maybe like visiting widows and orphans? Can’t do that in the house they probably wouldn’t be welcome there anyway.
